#a few years in the future rachel’s a huge star like she always dreamed of being #she finds herself playing big events and it’s still all such a whirlwind for her because it’s what she always wanted #over the years she tried to keep in contact with everyone from the glee club but it didn’t work out only with a few#there was one person in particular she drifted apart from and she wished she hadn’t done so #she missed quinn and she tried so hard to find a way back to her but she didn’t even know where quinn had gone after graduation #one of her biggest gigs was coming up and she was so excited #the night before she felt these butterflies in her stomach that she didn’t recognize because rachel berry never got nervous #these weren’t normal butterflies though… these butterflies told her that something good was going to happen #so the next day she was anxious and ready to find out just what was coming her way #while on stage she always liked looking out in the crowd #she liked to see the faces of the people that came to see her #as she glanced around she lost her balance for a second #she thought her eyes were deceiving her #because there she was #the girl she missed all along was right in front of her #right in front of her eyes

#quinn genuinely looked happy at the thought of being friends with rachel berry for good #when you’ve read as much lengthy and angsty faberry fic as i have #with quinn or rachel being so fearful of how the other would react to being friends or having feelings #knowing that this moment exists #it fucking hurts in the best way possible

#It’s so crazy because in my headcanon it’s always been Quinn who has trouble ~dealing with her feelings #But I feel like this episode just turned that on it’s head #Quinn is putting it out there; I mean more or less asking/pleading for Rachel to say.. no not just him #And Rachel struggles. Her barely there nod because she just told Quinn that everyone deserves to be happy #But she knows her decision isn’t making Quinn happy #Hell - she isn’t even convinced her decision is making HERSELF happy #Her happiness comes in this scene when Quinn asks if she’s still invited #And suddenly I see this as Rachel being the one struggling with feelings #Because Finn is supposed to be her HS dream come true. Right? Right?!? #And can she toss away the last three years she spent cultivating that dream for this.. for this fantasy? #Even if she wants it can she; should she take that risk? #To instead toast to all the times her and Quinn messed up. #But have somehow still ended up here. Together. #I hate this show. And I hate feeling so much. Sigh.
